A pediatric dentist is a dental specialist who cares for babies, kids, and teens—even those with special needs. They have extra training in child development and know how to make dental visits comfortable, fun, and stress-free for little ones (and their parents, too!).

Your child should visit the dentist by their first birthday or within 6 months of their first tooth coming in—whichever comes first! Early visits help keep little smiles healthy and set the stage for a lifetime of good dental habits.

A consultation lets us get to know you and your child, discuss concerns, and create a personalized treatment plan. It’s the first step toward making sure your little one gets the right care in a way that’s comfortable, clear, and tailored just for them!

It’s totally normal for kids to feel a little nervous! You can help by talking positively about the visit, reading books or watching videos about the dentist, and letting them bring a favourite toy or blanket. Our team is great at helping little ones feel safe, comfortable, and even excited to come back!
